My last serious outing to shoot insects was during Chinese New Year this year. During that shoot, I fell down a slope, twisted my ankle and since then have not been shooting insects other than those that was found at home. So, naturally, I have rusted my skills. Lighting is hard this time around. Took me quite some time to familiarize myself with the lighting again.
On Saturday (August 30th 2011), I finally decided to take a drive down to KL and have a go again at macro photography. Also tried something new this time, by using a monopod for extra support. Always did handheld shots before. So below are the results from my 2 hours shoot.
